Houska Castle

The Houska Castle is a 13th Century Gothic castle built in the Czech Republic about 29 miles north of Prague. It was built in an isolated area that held no strategic value and was built without external fortifications. Oddly the defensive walls of the castle were built facing inwards. It is believed that the Castle was built atop a gateway to Hell, and meant to protect the people from what may come from inside.
