Ruby Ridge was an 11 day siege of a cabin occupied by the Weaver family in Boundary County, Idaho in 1992 after investigations by the ATF. Charges against Weaver for selling two sawed-off shotguns to an undercover agent gave cause for the ATF to pursue Randy Weaver. A string of bad decisions by law enforcement continued to escalate the situation.
